Sandbox Festival, Egypt and the region’s premier boutique festival, commemorates a decade of unforgettable music on the stunning Red Sea Riviera in El Gouna from May 16th to 18th, 2024. This special anniversary edition of the music and travel retreat will once again establish itself as a pioneer in the region, featuring a curated blend of established performers, legendary trailblazers, and influential local and emerging artists.

Sandbox and its creators, the events and entertainment powerhouse Nacelle, stand as Egypt’s foremost voice in the realm of underground music—a combined force that consistently sets trends, introduces headline acts, and curates unforgettable experiences in its own backyard. These endeavors have provided a platform for a vibrant local scene, characterized by meticulous attention to detail in everything from lineup curation to production to immersive stage design. It’s the warm, diverse, open, and globally representative audience that truly defines the essence of the event.
Setting the musical stage this year will be versatile DJ and inter-genre expert Call Super, dynamic Parisian instrumentalist Chloé Caillet, and the deeply-rooted soul and house maestro Danilo Plessow, known as MCDE. Headlining the roster are acclaimed talents such as Dixon, founder of Innervisions label and emotive selector; DJ Holographic, the leading lady of Detroit; DJ Tennis, founder of Life And Death; the masterfully eclectic Hunee; and techno luminaries Paul Kalkbrenner, TSHA, Traumer, and Paula Tape. Sandbox’s diversity shines once again with performances from Japan’s melodic house master Soichi Terada, cult house, breaks, and electro sensation Sweely, and many more.
Continuing Sandbox and Nacelle’s commitment to showcasing local talent, the festival welcomes regional scene leaders including Akladios, Aly B, Aly Goede, Aroussi, Gawdat, Gazbee B2B Talaia, Hermit B2B Joey, Hot Oasis, Husa & Zeyada (Live), Jess, Misty, Nova Retra, and more.
The music unfolds across several individually designed and unique stages, many crafted from the sand itself. Each area boasts its own ambiance, vibe, and soundtrack, united by creative use of audio-visual technology and top-notch sound system setups that foster DJ-crowd connectivity. New for this year is an enhanced beach stage and an additional stage to showcase even more local and regional talent.
Sandbox Festival offers more than just music—it’s situated in El Gouna, a breathtaking resort town boasting stunning beaches and dramatic Red Sea sunsets.
